Loop trail Altrandsberg Castle - Pfahl (Mi05)

Popular circular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. From the starting point at the town hall, turn right and immediately left again onto the Reiterweg. Then turn right onto the cycle path. You pass the Kneipp treading pool, where you can revitalise your feet. Staying on the cycle path, turn left in Untervierau and follow the signposts. You hike through the forest and enjoy beautiful views of the Perlbachtal valley. Pass through Obervierau to the district road, which you cross. Following the cycle path, you reach the village square with fountain in Altrandsberg. The castle, which can be visited, is reached via the castle steps. Alternatively, you can take a break in the castle restaurant. Continue along the village road via Wolfersdorfer Straße to Kagerhof to the Pandurensteig trail, which runs along the Pfahl, a 150 km long quartz vein. In the village of Pfahl, you can take a break at the Pfahlhof inn. After a short stretch on the main road, turn left onto a meadow path that leads into the forest. Following the markings, you soon come out into the open again and reach a tarmac road via a meadow path, which you follow to the left. The hike continues via Eichelhof and Oberndorf. You return safely to Miltach via the subway of the B85 main road. Along the Perlbach stream, where you also have a beautiful view of Miltach Castle, you then return to the starting point at the town hall.
