Loop trail Zandt - Miltach - Zandt (Za04)

Popular circular hike in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. Start at the hiking board in the centre of the village and follow the markings in the direction of Hinterstocka and Oberstocka. At the crossroads in front of Stockerholz, where there is also a lovely bench to rest on, follow the path to the right along the edge of the forest. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of Zandt and later Flammried. At the end of the forest path, turn left towards Berghäusl. The road ends here and you continue along a picturesque forest path to the "Wart". Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Regental valley and the village of Miltach. Once you reach the Miltach cemetery, you have the option of walking through the subway to Miltach along the Perlbach stream. Miltach Castle is well worth a visit. A number of places to stop for refreshments in Miltach await hungry hikers, for example the café at "EDEKA Welter", the pizzeria or the new "Waffel" café at the railway station. The return journey continues via Oberndorf. Here you can also stop for refreshments at the Hofmann inn. In the centre of the village, you have to turn right to get to Eichelhof. There is still an old, inhabited Waldlerhaus here. Soon you will see the "Schlossberg" and "Kellerberg" holiday villages. On the right is the electronics company "Zollner", the largest employer in the district. Follow the markings on the sewage treatment plant road back to Zandt.
