Popular hiking trail in Saxon Switzerland National Park, Saxony.
This loop trail is fantastic for a nature outing. It leads from the Sachsenbergsiedlung (several parking spaces available) to the Bärengarten, which is located below Hohenstein Castle. It goes along the Hohnstein nature trail. The Halbenweg awaits with a nice detour to the Gautsch grotto. Other optional detours, for example to the fire pyramid, the quarry tower and the quarry needle are possible.
Finally, the Neuweg leads downhill to the Schulzengrund, past the Neuwegewand and uphill again to the beautiful Brand-Baude mountain restaurant with its impressive view of the Brand. You can stop there.
Finally, you return to the starting point on the Brandstraße.
