It starts at the free Buhlert hiking car park. It initially goes in a westerly direction and for a while along the small nature reserve Senkelbachquellen. The former bunkers of the West Wall can be explored, a total of eight well-preserved old bunker systems. To get here, unpaved and unmarked paths branch off from the paved paths. Sturdy shoes are recommended for the unmarked trails. Entering the bunker facilities is at your own risk and should only be done with appropriate caution. Since most of the paths are paved, the tour is also easy to do by bike.
