The starting point of this quiet route is the Hexenbuche car park east of Hilberath on the L 261. First it goes south up the hilly fields and then through dense forest to Vischel Castle, which stands on a remote clearing. Following the green banks of the Vischelbach, you get to Berg and then in a north arc through magnificent forest and wide meadows back to the starting point. There are places to stop for refreshments near the route.
