Historical trail near Rheinbach in the Cologne-Bonn region, North Rhine-Westphalia. The "Brotweg" ("Bread Trail") takes its name from the many people who came to the church fair at the starting point of the hike in the middle of the 19th century. A particularly large number came from Neukirchen-Sürst. The reason why the fair was so well attended was that bread was distributed on the fourth Sunday of Lent (Bread Sunday), which was financed by a foundation. The foundation was set up by various citizens in 1835 and the tradition continued until 1916, when ration cards were introduced. It is possible to travel to Wormersdorf by bus. There is also a refreshment stop here. Highlights: - Historical trail
