The hike begins at the overview board in the center of Falkenstein. You walk across the market square into the park path and then below Falkenstein Castle. A detour there is of course possible. The signage continues to Muehlthal. Turn right at the small bridge and then keep left. Past the mill you hike uphill. In the forest that follows, the path climbs steeply (Schweinsberg). You then reach a hiking trail sign and the path leads down to Hagenau at the foot of the Sengersberg. The route leads back via Ettmannsdorf and then a short distance on the little-used GV-Straße in the direction of Voelling. Shortly before the entrance to Voelling, hike up the hiking trail on the right and then downhill towards Muehlthal. Above Muehlthal you should definitely enjoy the view over the wonderful Perlbachtal. You hike back to the market square via the already known trail.
