The hike starts at the bus stop at the chapel in Völling. At the end of the town, turn left in the direction of Seidlmühl and Adlmühl. At the Adlmühle (trout farm) the trail branches off to the right up to Saffelberg and on to Hofstetten. You hike past the mission house in the direction of Obermühl and via Niederhof and Fingermühl back to Völling.
