The starting point is the village square in Rimbach. The Hohenbogenstrasse is heading north. Just before the former swimming pool, turn left. The forest path runs to the forest road called Grenzweg. Here you keep to the left, passing the hiking car park. Soon after, you can discover the markings of the Baierweg. Follow these markings in the direction of Hohenbogen. After 1.3 km, the Goldsteig and the E6 long-distance hiking trail join. The now very arduous ascent is rewarded with the magnificent view of the Further Senke up to the Czech Republic on the Burgstall (976m), where the transmission tower of the Bavarian Radio is also located. You continue to follow the markings on the asphalt road to the forest service hut (excursion restaurant). Here you can strengthen yourself before continuing the hike to the well of souls. From there you can reach Rimbach via Unterzettling and Schafhof.
