A varied hike in the Allgäu Alps near Rettenberg, Bavaria.
This varied and promising hike begins in Rettenberg and over beautiful forest paths up to Alpe Kammeregg. From there it goes over meadows up to the summit of the Grünten. Here you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Illertal, the Hörnergruppe and the Nagelfluhkette. In addition, a little below the Grünten you can see the transmission masts of the Bavarian broadcasting company. We continue towards the Starzachklamm. Shortly before the end of the hike, you can relax your tired legs with a leisurely snack at the Klammwirt. Once in Burgberg you can either take the bus back to Rettenberg or the bus to the train station in Sonthofen.
