Blaueishütte is a 10.3 kilometer moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Ramsau b. Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany that features a great forest setting and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and nature trips and is best used from May until October.

Situated in the Bavarian Alps, this trail offers spectacular views of the icy and rocky terrain surrounding it. The trail climbs steadily until you reach the Blaueishütte, a popular lunch and resting spot. During the peak season, the hütte sells snacks and refreshments. Many visitors decide to carry on to the Blaueis glacier, the northernmost glacier in the Alps. Others continue to Schärtenspitze, a rugged peak several miles past the hütte. Please note that the trail becomes very rocky and challenging after passing Blaueishütte.

Really beautiful trip that is easily manageable with kids. We all thought that the views from the blaueishütte were even more spectacular than those from the watzmannhaus
