Great and promising hike on the Hochries, Bavaria. This beautiful tour with many great views of the Kampenwand starts in Hohenaschau. The path leads steadily and solidly to the 1569 m high Hochries. This route is stage 1 of the Chiemgautour, a multi-day hike through the Chiemgau Alps in Bavaria, Germany. The trail leads from the Festhalle in Hohenaschau steadily upward past the Hofalm and the Stubn (formerly Frasdorfer Hütte) to the closed Riesenhütte, before a final climb leads to the Hochrieshütte (1,569 m) on the Hochries summit.
