This route is mainly on gravel / tar roads and hiking trails. There are gradients of up to 25%. The ascent route largely corresponds to the route of the Kampenwandlauf. Starting point: parking lot at the festival hall (620 m) First climb towards Kampenwand in the forest until you come to a ski slope. On this further direction Hirschenstein, past this and to the Kampenwandbahn (1460 m). Past the Sonnenalm and Kampenwandhütte (1500 m) to the Steinlingalm (1448 m). Continue past the eastern summit of the Kampenwand towards the Hochalpenkopf to start the return journey from there.

Multi-day hike from Innerwald im Chiemgau. This hike is better reached by car than public transport. However, the wonderful views from the Schreck-Alm are worth all the effort.
