The Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide Nature Park is located off the beaten track in the largest contiguous forest area in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The mountain lake lies within the boundaries of the Nossentiner / Schwinzer Heide nature reserve. There are also plenty of opportunities to extend the route into the forest if you want a longer route.
