Trail reviews for Georgian Bay Islands National Park
Launched our kayaks at the Georgian Bay Islands National Park in Honey Harbour. This was off season so plenty of parking which is to be in the upper lot. In season you would need a park pass to stop and hike or picnic on Beausoleil. Beached at Cedar Spring where there is a big stone chair with great views. Hiked the lookout trail to Christian trail and the beach on the west side for our picnic lunch then back along the Huron trail to the kayaks. Important to do this trip when the winds are reasonably light as there is open water. During summer there would be considerable boat traffic as well. Lots of other trail choices.
Beautiful, less than traveled trail in Georgian Bay Islands NP. Was super runnable and walkable but would NOT recommend doing the loop by bike. The Georgian trail stretch of the loop would really only be enjoyable by advanced bikers with great equipment. The bikes you can rent on island are just okay and as an inexperienced mountain biker I walked this entire stretch (not ideal). But for bikers and runners, beautiful. Mosquito repellent required! Lots of poison ivy.
