Very pretty! Rough to hike for beginners because of the inclines and declines on the rocks. But, the view is worth it.

Great trail - the canopy of the trees provide a good amount of shade. Very pretty views. We will definitely hike it again.

This was an average hike for me, mostly through the woods and not too many scenic views (I may have stopped twice in 10 km). The southern side of the loop goes through high grass so I was obsessing over ticks but not one got on me. Lotf of flies, some mosquitoes and so many cute encounters, the highlight being colorful butterflies.

*Keep in mind while reading this review that the trail conditions may be a result of Covid/reduced staff/park closure.* We went right after Ontario parks reopened. This trail was terrible. Super buggy, we have hundreds of bites with deet spray and long pants, socks, boots, etc. The trail was poorly maintained, washed out in areas, missing key trail markers - because of this we did the whole trail but missed out on the views. Norma lake was fairly pretty, the others were just swamp/bug paradise. This trail was extremely difficult to do as a backpacker because of the climbing involved, we had to pass the packs up. As a short person (5'2) I struggled, my partner found his height gave him a large advantage (6'1). Overall, very difficult, very buggy, kinda sketchy. At least Sawyer Bay as an end point for us was really pretty. Bring lots of water and a filter or drops so you can refill from one of the clear streams.

So, this trail is not marked and a little hard to find. It’s a side trail off the SC Johnson trail. There is a little posted that reads Perched Fen....that is the trail you need to take. We actually passed right by it and ended up walking 2 1/2 km down the SC Johnson before we had to turn back. Sad to say we never made it down the trail, but it is on the list to go back!!!

Great trail, good views, sandy beach, wish i had swimsuit but i still swam with my hiking clothes, it was so cool!

So much stairs. It's clean, no garbage not in the bins, but it smells. Hearing the water is nice but smells like sewage. The trees are far apart and give no shade on the trails. Too close to roadways.

Bay is awesome and moderately steep trail on the way in and out. Started at sawbill lake trail instead of normal trail head as i was staying in the Marie Louise lake campground

Not many scenic lookouts. The floating bright is a highlight.

Not maintained, lots of blowdown, and lots and lots of deer flies! Bug spray is a must in order to survive this trail. Trail is an old road system, which just leads to an overgrown boat launch.... not much of a view and not worth the mental exhaustion of keeping the deer flies away.

LOTS OF HORSEFLIES, they literally attacked me; I was running most of the way and had to turn back. Lots of bugs in warning you

Narrow trail with steep parts, lots of mosquitos who don’t care about repellent! I rate it moderate to challenging!

Almost fully shaded, rocky and with a nice view of lake orphan and Lake Superior from the lookout.

Great trail starting in a park. Pay parking at trail head. Nice views along the way with a few spots to swim.

Absolutely beautiful trail with many lookout points. Give yourself 2-3 hours on this trail as the sign suggests....im assuming everyone else sprinted through it because this app was extremely inaccurate about this trail, especiallytiming.. You are literally climbing a mountain, theres no doubt about this. Tons of rocky areas however everything was rather simple to get though, any expert level could do this trail. Theres a beach across the road which couldnt be more perfect.

Gorgeous trails but overgrown and poorly marked in places. Lots of trails for bikes specifically, so keep an eye out when walking.
