Trail reviews for Nerang National Park
Doing the counter-clockwise loop, just after the stream crossing is a steep incline with a lot of exposed rock. This is EXTREMELY slippery underfoot when wet. We had quite a bit of rain over a 48hr period and stream only got to just below the knees, approx. 4m wide. Rest of the loop is pretty good underfoot, with some generic exposed rock underfoot as per Nerang National Park.
well maintained trail, besides old cans and trash littered around Nerang national park. it's an easy enough walk with a couple of leg burning hills, but not much of the trail is overgrown which makes it a good trail for summer when the snakes are out. there's not much in the way of scenery until you get to a clearing on a hill where you can see the whole gold coast, and if you're keen enough there are a few different ways back from the water tank.I would bring a little more water than you'd expect.
Great little hoke, i extended it to go through to Nerang which has many paths, so easy to tailor to how much time you have...also good reception. Semi sparined ankle so only did slow jog in parts. A little overgrown, spider webs (single lines) everywhere if you are first on. Can be muddy after rain. Undercover so cool (stilll need suncreen) as biews mostly blocked, easy to follow path as shared with bikes/horses. I saw 1 kangaroo, 2 horse riders, 3 wallabies, 4 mountain bikers and a handful of hikers! Would do it again.
