This hike starts near Schellenberg Castle and leads through the Schellenberger Forest, the Baldeneyer Forest and the Huelenhaine nature reserve in the Schellenberger Forest. In the Baldeneyer forest you have views of the Baldeneysee. Much of the hike is through forested areas and is therefore well shaded.

The "normal" permanent CTF of the Essen RG 1900 eV from 2017. This route is not for the "just plain". Although this "normal" version is clearly defused, it is more demanding than most permanent ones with about 42 km and over 700 meters in altitude!
