Great cycle tour in the Jasmund National Park, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
From the paid car park "Kreidefelsen" on the outskirts of Sassnitz, the route leads into the Jasmund National Park towards Buddenhagen. The well-maintained path leads through the unique UNESCO World Heritage beech forests of Stubnitz. You then cross the Werder to reach the UNESCO World Heritage Forum, where you can find out more about the "Ancient Beech Forests". The square invites you to linger and pause for a moment. A detour on foot to the Wissower Klinken to enjoy the panoramic view over the Ostesse is well worthwhile.
The Wissower Klinken were a much-visited chalk formation, but they fell into the sea during a storm in 2005. However, the view is well worth the effort.
You then cycle back to the starting point via Wedding (Sasssnitz).
