Popular panoramic hiking trail in the Jasmund National Park, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
This much-visited hiking trail follows the blue bar markings. It starts in Sassnitz at the end of Weddingstraße at the entrance to the park and leads northwards along the beautiful Baltic Sea coast to Lohme. There are spectacular views of the Baltic Sea and the famous chalk cliffs. The route crosses ancient, magnificent beech forests, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is possible to descend to the beach in some places (please only use the marked descents!).
The famous Königsstuhl is on the route. There is an entrance fee to visit the famous chalk cliffs. There are also opportunities to stop for refreshments at the Königsstuhl.
At the destination in Lohme there are buses that take you back to Sassnitz. (Please note timetable and prices).
Caution! Due to the danger of falling, you should only approach the cliffs up to the marked points.
