Osterfeuerspitze Summit

This diverse circular hike leads through the foothills of the Central Black Forest near Offenburg. The path starts in the wine-growing village of Zunsweiler and explores the forested ridges around the prominent Silberköpfe. The course follows a charming mixture of sunny vineyard tracks, broad forestry roads, and natural woodland trails. A central highlight is the panoramic view from the crest of the Silberköpfe, which—on clear days—extends across the Rhine valley to Strasbourg Cathedral and the distant Vosges mountains. In the sparse mixed forests and along the forest edges, roe deer, European green woodpeckers, and various birds of prey can be brilliantly observed. Due to the steady climbs, the route requires solid basic fitness, though it is technically straightforward.
