Panoramic mountain bike tour in the Estergebirge in the Bavarian Prealps near Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The route starts near Eschenlohe at the hikers' car park at the foot of the mountain range. The route then leads past the Schluchtblick Asamklamm gorge via the Walchenseer Steig. The route then circles the Simetsberg and returns to the starting point via the Gachentod gorge.
MTB experience is recommended for this route. The ascent to the Hechtlerhütte near the Kuhalm is on a wide forest path. On the way back via the Walchenseeaussicht-Kanzel, the MTB must be carried for a section. It is not recommended to ride the track in a clockwise direction!
