The hike begins at the parking lot on Osterstrasse in Burg. Via Frederick-Schumacher-Strasse and Mathildenstrasse, you get to Strandallee, where you can take a bike and footpath to Neueiefe. At the southern exit of the village, turn left towards Sahrensdorf. (Alternatively, you can also make a detour to Burgtiefe.) On both sides of the path through Sahrensdorf there are beautiful poplars. At the northern exit of the town you have to cross the county road. Be careful, as more car traffic is to be expected.
Walk about 100 m along the county road until you turn back towards Vitzdorf. You cross the next street and follow a path that leads you around Vitzdorf. After approx. 1.5 km you come back to the road to Burg, whose winding course you follow until you come to a small wood on the left. After a sharp bend to the right, turn left approx. 200 m further onto a grass path, which will take you back to Burg.
