Popular circular hiking trail in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, Saxony
This round east of Bad Schandau is one of the most beautiful in the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Extremely varied paths lead past numerous impressive rock formations for which the region is so famous. From different vantage points, including the "Schrammsteinaussicht" platform, there are always new views of the striking rock formations. There are several iron ladders and stairs to overcome, so sturdy shoes, a head for heights and a certain level of fitness are highly recommended.
It starts at the free Zahngrund car park. From there it goes uphill via the Lattengrund and Obrigensteig to the famous Schrammsteinen. After a lap around the impressive rocks, we continue to Hohe Liebe, where an amazing view can also be expected. Back to the parking lot, it's a relaxed downhill ride over the Schiessgrund.
Highlights of the hike:
- Magnificent views of Saxon Switzerland
- Scratch stones
- High love
