Hinteres Raubschloß

Varied hike in Saxon Switzerland, Saxony. The name of the hike is a long rock massif in beautiful Saxon Switzerland - the Winterstein. A medieval rock castle once stood on the 389 meter high rock, which is where the name Raubschloss comes from. The tour leads there, starting at the Elbe at the Neumannsmühle car park. Following the Kirnitzsch for a while, it finally heads south uphill to the Winterstein. From there and along the plateau you have a wonderful view. For quite a long stretch we continue along the famous Royal Route. This turns into the Fremdenweg and leads to another beautiful highlight - the impressive Felsentor Kuhstall with the adventurous ascent over the Himmelsleiter. After that, the home dough gradually returns to the starting point. The Felsenmühle offers an opportunity to stop (note the opening times). In general, sure-footedness and a head for heights are an advantage on this route and sturdy shoes are recommended.
