Point to point
Panoramic hike to the Schrammsteinen, Saxon Switzerland.
The hike begins in the center of Bad Schandau. The historic elevator takes you up to Ostrau. Wonderful views over the city to the Elbe Valley and Lilienstein are already waiting there. A few steps further you pass the lynx enclosure. With a bit of luck, the animals will appear. After a short but steep ascent to the Ostrava settlement, the Skywalk, which was inaugurated in 2018, is reached.
Leaving Ostrava, you enter the fairytale forests of Saxon Switzerland. Mossy sandstone blocks, rustic roots and steep rock faces dominate the landscape. Finally you reach the area of the impressive rock formations of Saxon Switzerland - the Schrammsteine. At the foot of these impressive rocks, the hike leads quite leisurely along the Elbleitenweg. At the end of the rock formations, it goes to the village of Schmilka on the Elbe. Here you can end the day with a stop. You can return to Bad Schandau by bus or by S-Bahn.
