You start in Stiepel and hike - or drive - in the direction of the Ruhr. It goes over the river and to Hattingen. From there you get to the towpath directly on the riverbank and follow it to Bochum Dahlhausen. Follow the Springorumtrasse in the direction of Weitmar and then turn right into the Weitmarer Holz. If you have time, visit the wild animal enclosure. There are numerous restaurants along the way to stop off.
