RuhrtalRadweg Etappe 5: Essen - Duisburg

• Partial Closure Kupferdreh Railway Bridge: The Kupferdreh railroad bridge between Essen-Heisingen and Essen-Kupferdreh will be closed from January 23, 2026, through February 2027 due to construction work. The alternate route continues along the riverbank over the next bridge. The last section of the RuhrtalRadweg continues through the Pott from Essen to the final destination Duisburg. But first it goes over the Baldeneysee to Mühlheim ad Ruhr. We continue through the picturesque Styrumer Ruhraue nature reserve, which delights ornithologists in particular with its numerous species of birds.
