Very nice loop in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia
This circular route is located on the edge of the Huelenhaine nature reserve in the Schellenberger Forest, bordered on the other side by Lake Baldeney. Start is at Jagdhaus Schellenberg, from there it goes after a short stretch along the road into the forest and to Lake Baldeney. The beautiful path along the shore and through the forest offers pure relaxation and lets you relax and switch off in a short time. The Baldeneysee is the largest of a total of six Ruhr reservoirs and invites you to experience it more closely on one of the river boats. At the Essen-Hügel train station, it goes back in the direction of Baldeneyer Berg and Schellenberger Wald to get back to the starting point. Here you can stop at the hunting lodge.
