Fahrradtour entlang der Südlichen Boddenküste

A scenic and challenging tour. It goes along the Bodstedter and Barther Bodden, through the Barther Stadtholz, always with the coast in view! The traditional port of Bodstedt, which attracts visitors with its numerous Zees boats, is recommended as a starting point. This demanding tour along the Bodstedter and Barther Bodden as well as through the Barther Stadtholz is scenically very varied and attractive. When driving through the town of Fuhlendorf, you can always see the bay and the peninsula. Along the lagoon coast it goes west. Turning to the right via a paved forest path you come to the idyllic village of Michaelsdorf, further west to Neuendorf. The small harbor is a great place to rest and linger. The Gothic brick church in Saal with its octagonal wooden bell tower is particularly impressive. The route to Lüdershagen and the brick church, which is owned by a high-quality Buchholz organ, takes you along side roads with little traffic. It continues in a northerly direction to Barther Stadtholz and then over the Baltic Sea Cycle Path to Pruchten before it goes back to the starting point in Bodstedt.
