The hike begins north of Kloster, at the Dornbusch National Park access area. Bicycles should be parked in the bicycle parking lot. A paved road leads up the hill to the legendary Inselblick, which offers a view from the bay over the southern part of the island to the open Baltic Sea. The church towers of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund greet you from the horizon. Shortly afterwards you reach the lighthouse. From the gallery you have a breathtaking view over the national park, as far as Rügen and, if visibility is good, as far as the chalk cliffs of the Danish island of Mön.
