The eight-way trail connects moor history with the artists' villages of Worpswede and Fischerhude. The route leads into the past with old farmsteads and birch lined avenues. It continues into the artistic Fischerhude, where Otto Modersohn had found a new home after the death of his wife Paula Modersohn-Becker. He lived there until his death in 1943. After Lilienthal the route leads back to Worpswede where in 1889 Fritz Mackensen, Otto Modersohn and Hans finally found their new residence. This tour is unmarked.
