The KlimaTour Teufelsmoor is fully dedicated to the topic of climate change. The glaciers are melting and the sea level is rising! Many people associate these phenomena with the topic of climate change. In the cultivated land Teufelsmoor, however, these are not (yet) directly observable. However, to what extent climate change is becoming noticeable here and what effects the economic activity in Teufelsmoor has on the climate can be experienced on the KlimaTour. The traces of climate change are small, but clear. The 42-kilometer circuit, starting at the Tourist Information Center in Worpswede, will take you along 9 climate points through the world of climate change. What does the fictitious sea level of the future look like? What are the consequences of draining the moors? How does the Hamme deal with increasing solar radiation? These and other questions are answered at the different climate points along the way. During your excursion, you will also pass the viewpoint "Himmelstreppe", from where you have an impressive view of the Hammniederung. To get more detailed information on the route and the individual climatic points, our brochure KlimaTour Teufelsmoor is available for download at the link below. The print product is currently not available. Since this theme route is not signposted, we recommend driving the tour with GPS support.
