Passing the peat bogs of Weyerdeelen and Überhamm, this route leads to the edge of the Breddorfer Moor. The small bog pool "Swatte Flag" in the roadless expanse of the moor gives an impression of what the country looked like before it was cultivated. In 1751, the kurhannoversche Moorkommissar Jürgen Christian Findorff began the systematic colonization and settlement of the Teufelsmoor. New villages such as Mevenstedt, Bergedorf and Schlußdorf were built in a typical Settlement structure developed by Findorff. On the edge of the Weyerberg the tour leads through the "Lange Moor". Also this bog is no bog in the biological sense. 80 percent of it is used as grassland.
