Fontaneradweg - Tagestour 4 - Wustrau <> Fehrbellin

The first stop on day tour 5 of the FONTANE.RAD route with the dark blue FONTANE.RAD symbol is Wustrau, to which Fontane dedicated the first chapter in his “Walks through the Mark Brandenburg”. The first part of the route of the day tour leads along the FONTANE.RAD main route in the direction of Potsdam and branches off from Buskow via Stöffin to Protzen, which Fontane described as a “prosperous lynx and peat village”. A detour to Walchow leads to the rectory, whose superintendent Kirchner Fontane was particularly impressive. The tour continues via Fehrbellin and Hakenberg - romantic villages but also former theaters of war. The victory column in Hakenberg still bears witness to this today. A detour via Linum is a must for all nature lovers: not only when the migratory birds gather in late summer, the stork village is very busy. The place used to be on a much used pilgrimage route from Berlin to Bad Wilsnack. It goes back to Wustrau. A printed tour guide and a cycling map for the entire FONTANE.RAD route are available free of charge at the local tourist information offices, and information boards provide information about individual Fontane locations.
