Loop
Popular, panoramic loop in the Bavarian Pre-Alps, Bavaria.
A very beautiful loop at Spitzingsee. The hike leads to the Jägerkamp, which is often wrongly referred to as the "Mitnahmegipfel" - a mountain that isn't the main goal of a hike. This summit also has a lot to offer as a destination in its own right and is definitely worthwhile! The metres in altitude are mastered via well-maintained paths up to the summit. Refreshment stops are available along the way.
Start at the Spitzingsattel car park. The bus stop of the same name is right next door, so traveling there comfortably by bus is also possible.
Highlights of the hike:
- Great views of the Spitzingsee
- Mountain panorama
