Hochtannbergrunde ab Sonthofen

This route is a true road bike classic, but requires a lot of good condition. The route begins at the Eissporthalle in Sonthofen on Hindelanger Straße. To bypass the busy main road 308, turn right before and immediately left into Strausbergstraße. At the end left and shortly thereafter at the traffic light cross the main road. Shortly after, follow the road to the right, signposted Bad Hindelang. The road then turns into the cycle path along the B 308 to Vorderhindelang. In Vorderhindelang on a side street to the roundabout Bad Hindelang. From there you drive on the German Alpine Road B 308 the Jochpass, the most winding alpine route in Germany, up to Oberjoch. Shortly after the village at the roundabout turn right into the Tannheimer Tal. This is completely passed through and then passes over the Gaichtpass down to Lechtal to Weißenbach. Turn right on the B 198 up the Lech up to Warth. Then it goes over the Hochtannbergpass into the Bregenz Forest. Follow the B 200 to Schoppernau, Andelsbuch to Hittisau. There follow the B 205 via Krumbach, Riefensberg back to Germany. About Oberstaufen it goes first along the B 308 to Konstanzer. There, keep left and follow the narrow but asphalted Moosweg along the Großer Alpsee along via Trieblings to Bühl. Via Immenstadt the way leads back via Blaichach to Sonthofen to the starting point.
