Best trails near Burgruine Werdenfels

Panoramic hike near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Ammergebirge nature reserve. This interesting tour leads along mostly flat gravel paths to the ruins of Werdenfels Castle via the Kramerplateauweg. The route can be continued from there to the Pflegersee, where there is a lido and refreshments available at the Berggasthof Pflegersee. Return along the same route. The circular trail begins at the hiking parking lot on Pflegerseestraße and initially leads slightly downhill to Schmölzersee. From there, the trail climbs through the forest to the Werdenfels castle ruins. The trail continues to the Pflegersee, which also has a lido.
