The Lüneburg Heath Nature Park is located in northern Lower Saxony and is part of the Lüneburg Heath vacation region. Its ideal location between the three cities of Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen makes it a popular destination for day trips and weekend excursions.

The Lüneburg Heath Nature Park was one of the first nature parks in Germany and is now one of the largest and best-known. It covers 107,000 hectares; at its heart in the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve and around the Wilseder Berg, it comprises the largest contiguous areas of heathland in Central Europe. Hikers can also discover heath streams, moors, old forests and picturesque villages with thatched cottages.
