The 44 km long Pastor-Bode-Weg leads through the Lüneburg Heath, from the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg to the Wilseder Berg. The second stage of the Pastor-Bode-Weg starts in Salzhausen and ends in Egestorf, right on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve. Once again, Heidepastor Wilhelm Bode is omnipresent: the route follows an old railway line, in the construction of which the famous pastor played a major role. Both the starting point and the stage destination can be reached by bus and train. There are places to stay overnight and restaurants in Egestorf.
