This follows the of the Possum Spotting Trail loop walk then heads off to the bird hide. The possum walk is meant to be done at night, yet the best time for the bird hide is during the day. The best season to visit the bird hide would be in the spring. By the end of summer, the lake is dry and the birds have migrated. Bring insect repellent for mosquitoes, there have been known cases of Ross River Virus in the area.

This is a short and flat walk in the Tuart Forest National Park near Peppermint Grove Beach in the south west region of Western Australia, in between Bunbury and Busselton.
