This is an easy and uniquely educational walk around Lake Thetis outside of the town of Cervantes in WA.
The trail has multiple surfaces in use, including sections of concrete, gravel, and boardwalk. Information plaques around the lake showcase information on a special part of the lake. This is one of only a small selection of places in the world with marine thrombolites. The micro organisms that built these thrombolites closely resemble some of the oldest lifeforms on earth.
