The first 2.5km of this trail is mostly though shady gum trees and palms on a red dirt surface two people wide. It is relatively flat with some short uneven sections, is very easy walking and very pleasant under the trees. This is followed by a short climb up about ten steps to begin the unshaded final 1.5km to the Cliff Lookout. The path widens out to about 3m and the surface changes to sintered, crushed rock as it joins the Red Roo dual use cycle/walk trail.

Following the steep and rocky camel trail up the hillside to "Cameleers Lookout" before returning and viewing Python Pool. The trail gaining the viewpoint is narrow, as the old camel trail is overgrown and the walking path remains as some slight rock hopping and narrow paths between sharp bush.
The view from the lookout is amazing and to top off the walk you can bask near Python Pool, or if you have your bathers you can go for a swim in this permanent waterhole.

With fewer visitors and less facilities than near by Karijini National Park, the Chichester Ranges are spectacular. A walk along this amazing heritage trail in the early morning showcases a beautiful landscape of colour changes and is an opportunity to discover some iconic Pilbara wildflowers, such as Sturt Pea and Grevillea Wickhami.
Python Pool is a permanent water hole (perfect for a swim) surrounded by sheer red rock walls. From here the narrow trail climbs to a lookout showcasing the...

From the Mount Herbert car park, follow the Chichester Range Camel Trail from Mount Herbert to McKenzie Spring. This was once a watering hole for camel and bullock teams and is a pleasant surprise for walkers, contrasting markedly with the surrounding arid hills. The spring is not suitable for swimming.

This is a very short, easy trail on a wide formed concrete path to the lookout over Deep Reach on the Fortescue River. Deep Reach is a popular swimming site in the park and has two stepped points of entry into the river. Given that the surrounding countryside is extremely dry, Deep Reach is a real oasis in the semi desert and very popular with people camping in the park. Although the walk is short, it has spectacular scenery at the end and well worth it.

This is a fairly serious but rewarding 4WD track in the northern section of Millstream Chichester National Park, taking in 13.6 km of varied terrain in some fantasic areas. It can take up to an hour to drive the whole track. Visitors are rewarded with beautiful scenery, permanent water holes, and some of the best remote camping in the Pilbara. A beautiful pool for a short paddle. The banks are lined with reeds and Millstream Palm Trees, which are only found in the National Park here. There is great birdlife in the area and this is the perfect way to appreciate it.
Access to the river is walking only via Barrimirndi Trail, but you will only have to carry the kayak/canoes 200m or so to get to the water's edge for m the car park.

A must do when visiting the Millstream Chichester National Park. From the base of Mount Herbert, follow the trail up to the summit where views stretch endlessly in all directions. There are some short steep sections and a few steps along the way, along with loose rocks underfoot so proper footwear is recommended even for this short and easy walk.
