A lovely trail through the Lesueur National Park, located on the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, not too far from the town of Jurien Bay. The trail begins from the parking area at the end of Lesueur National Park Drive, where bathroom facilities are available.
The trail itself is well sign posted and is relatively flat until you make the rocky climb up Mount Lesueur (313m). Enjoy the view from the top before making your way back down and back to the car park. Enjoy the diversity of...

The Yonga Trail in Lesueur National Park is a wonderful two-day hike exploring the greater areas of the park. Fit and fast walkers or runners can tackle the whole route in a single day, but most will want to enjoy their time exploring the vast woodlands and rolling hills by staying a single night at the Yonga Campground. Bookings are essential for the campground and are limited, so interested parties should book well in advance through the park stay website -...

A 6km loop walk through the section Lesueur National Park that is further inland.
A nice walk with varying landscapes and great views over the coastal plain. A lot of different wildflowers around. Plus varied terrain with some good challenging uphill sections to keep it interesting. As a bonus the well-marked and easy to follow.
When arriving at Lesueur National Park you'll need to take the first right turn onto the Scenic Drive loop road and follow this a few KMs to reach the beginning of...

Trail reviews for Lesueur National Park
Great trail. On the easier side of moderate. Mr Lesueur has about 100m elevation gain and it's a bit of a rocky scramble in some places. Views are spectacular on the west side, but is mainly of farm land as you reach the trail end. The Gairdner loop back to the car park is not particularly challenging, but gives you a bit of shade in places. The flora is spectacular and nothing like what I'm used to in Victoria. Recommend starting early on hot days and wearing long sleeves and long pants, not just for sun protection, but also due to the plethora of spiky shrubs that hang over the path.
Parking: Entry fee, Free, Medium lot
