Tuchekoi National Park is located on the northern end of the Queensland Sunshine Coast, 125 kilometres north of Brisbane and 118 kilometres south of Hervey Bay, on Dyungungoo (Gubbi Gubbi) land. Its landscape consists of tall open forest, woodlands, subtropical rainforest and heathlands that contain Pink Bloodwood, Swamp Box, Brush Box, Blackbutt, casuarina, rue, sour grass plants and sweet grasses. It is a great place for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.

Starts out straightforward but gradually gets more difficult as the dirt trail turns to rock and the path becomes steeper with a scramble to the top. This shady trail winds through eucalypt forest and grazing land that connects the town of Pomona and Cooran in south east Queensland. The Cooroora Shared Trail takes you past the peaks of Mount Cooran and Mount Cooroora.
