Tuchekoi National Park is located on the northern end of the Queensland Sunshine Coast, 125 kilometres north of Brisbane and 118 kilometres south of Hervey Bay, on Dyungungoo (Gubbi Gubbi) land. Its landscape consists of tall open forest, woodlands, subtropical rainforest and heathlands that contain Pink Bloodwood, Swamp Box, Brush Box, Blackbutt, casuarina, rue, sour grass plants and sweet grasses.
