This is a rather steep climb to the weather station atop Saddle Mountain. The trail begins from a free carpark within the university campus and follows wider gravel roads rather than mountain bike trails shown on base map. This trail could also be commenced from a number of other locations.

A challenging and steep walk up to Forgon Smith Spur that will have you checking your step as you make your way up a loose and at times muddy track to the top.
This walk is great for just exploring the area all though there aren't an abundance of views but you do get the chance to be amongst the lush rainforest.
