Eurimbula National Park is located on a small island just off the mainland in Queensland on land of the Gureng Gureng Traditional Owners. The park features biodiverse ecosystems and protects mangrove forests, coastal vine thickets, estuaries, paperbark swamps, coastal eucalypt forests, cabbage palms and dense rainforest. There is a lighthouse on the island, great for taking in expansive panoramic views of the coastlines that wrap the park

The trail takes you through some grassy open woodland with bloodwood trees and rusty gums. Enjoy the incredible views of Munro Range to the west, and Bray Hills and Bustard Bay to the north. Parking is available on Eurimbula Road.

The first km or so is a bit overgrown but it opens up a nice wide clear track after that with an easy incline all the way to the lighthouse. You have the option of visiting the museum, cottage and lighthouse for a fee of $10 each. There is usually a caretaker there that can provide extra information about the history. Check the opening hours online.
