This is a nice family friendly trail around Lake Eacham located in Far North Queensland - not too far from Atherton. This looped route begins from the Lake Eacham parking area off Lakes Drive and there is a section that includes the children's walk.
The trail itself is well maintained - good for hiking, running or cycling and features a decent amount of shade along the way. Enjoy a swim in the lake afterwards and keep your eye out in the rainforest for all the native flora and fauna!

The walk is predominantly flat with minimal elevation gain and offers some nice views out over Lake Barrine. The path is a combination of paved concrete and bitumen, boardwalks, and dirt paths through the rainforest making it a great option for all ages.
