Journey further into the gorge down 240 stairs, where damp fern fronds glisten and colourful birds come to cool off. See water spill over sandstone ledges as it flows down and through the gorge.

This 4WD trail, called by the park a "scenic drive", takes you through dry forest on the plateau through moderate obstacles like ruts and rocks. Stop at the Mitha Boongulla Lookout (Charlevue Lookout) to enjoy expansive views across the surrounding plains.
Expect to take a few hours to complete this track, which is best accompanied by stretching your legs at a few of the great short walks in the park.
