This circular hiking trail starts in Hohenwarth and leads to the Hohenbogen service hut, which is located next to the Kohlriegel. The path first crosses the Regen river, then leads through Oberzettling and Unterzettling and enters the forest on the ascent to the Hohenbogen Diensthütte. The way back is of course the same way.

Head north from the fire station, leaving the school on the left, via a meadow path and further on the tarred road to reach the bridge at the Hohenwarther Mühle and cross it. Now follow the road to Thening and cross the town until you come to a sharp left turn. Here the markings point you to the right onto a forest road, which you follow to the Schönblick mountain inn.
